Storytelling Pixar Style

I came across a really great post by the animation guild here in LA. I don't know how many of you folks had the chance to go to the screenwriting expo last week. There was a great talk given by the top folks at Pixar about storytelling. If you're interested at all ... it made for a really great read. And if there's anyone out there with more notes please post 'em on here and I'll add a link! It sounds like this was an amazing lecture...

Wow, that was super useful information. There are a ton of good writing books out there, but one always stands out to me by Stephen King, "On Writing". The first half is not as much instructional as it is funny, and moving. The second half gets into the nitty-gritty. Take note that it is *not* a screen writing book. But there are lessons to be learned.

It's called "The Cutting Edge, the magic of movie editing" I highly recommend it for anyone interested in making a any kind of film. I'll add a post about it with a link.
