Hi to those who've continued to follow my blog. It's been a year since I last posted. I can't believe it. Well there's lots to catch up on!

I've spent the last year working on Target Holiday commercial, Guardians of the galaxy Vol. 2, and now animating on the Emoji Movie. What a ride! I'll post pics and links in the next day.

I've also received a few request for personal interviews. I wish I could accommodate everyone, but I'm afraid there just isn't enough time. So, with that in mind I will be posting links on this site of existing interviews I've given to several websites like "Animation Nation" & "Lady Animators".  Stay tune for those.

Comcast buys DreamWorks Animation in $3.8 billion deal

Yup... it's official. After being on the block for well over a year Dreamworks has officially been sold to Comcast. Watch more in this video

Imagining Zootopia (Full Documentary)

What a wonderful documentary... I thought I liked Zootopia when it came out. Now I love it even more knowing how much thought they put into really bring the issue of racism and limits that society set on us. It's a great movie for our children to watch. It's a wonderful message.

"Assistant Mayor Bellwether" Clip - Disney's Zootopia

Check out this fun clip from Zootopia. I had a chance to watch the film at the wrap party a few weeks ago and I have to say. Disney is by far really kicking ass these days. They are at the top of their game and it's really refreshing and inspiring to see!

Animation "Get rich quick"

Really??? I know of zero animators who studied animation to "get rich quick" or to have "job security". 

I honestly couldn't believe what I was watching and reading in this article... so I had to share the absurdity.

I'm excited to see what's next! This looks like a fun trailer with potential for the Trolls franchise.

Here's a good article I came across on women and the gender inequality in our industry. I have to say, from my own experience I have noticed some inequality in the past, but I've never felt it directed at me. And in general I think these cases are less and less common these days. Here's to hoping in a short time we won't even be talking about this because it'll be a non-issue.

Oscars - Animation Category

So with the Oscars approaching I read an interesting article. This one covers the Animation Category and what we should expect from these films this year.

My choice is, hands down, Inside Out. This was a creative and original story and definitely entertaining film. My little girl (who's only 3) sat through most of it... I look forward to seeing it again and again with her as she gets older.
